Stay Trackside
Spend the weekend at the track. Rent an RV and never have to leave and pay for a faraway hotel. Tailgate with the boys at Dragway 42 or Summit Motorsports Park. Just make sure you are in a self-contained camper as there is no electric hook-up at Dragway 42 and limited electric sites at Summit Motorsports Park.
Camp at Hocking Hills
If your guy group is an outdoorsy bunch, Hocking Hills is your playground. Check out Hocking Hills State Park for a great place to camp and amazing trails to hike. Explore waterfalls, caves, and nature paths in Ohio's gorgeous natural wonder. Canoe, raft, or tube down the Hocking River with Hocking Hills Adventures, or swing through the trees on the miles of zip lines at Hocking Hills Canopy Tours. Enjoy a packed weekend of adventure.
Fish on Lake Erie
Know someone who has a boat? Take an RV to East Harbor State Park and enjoy a campfire at night, while fishing during the day at the Walleye capitol of the world. If you don't have a boat there are many charters to contact, including Sundance Lake Erie Fishing Charters. Take a break from casting your line and spend the day at the State Park's beautiful beach for a relaxing day of sun.
Golf in Amish Country
Take the golf buds on a nice getaway to Amish Country. Enjoy a scenic eighteen-hole golf course that reveals the vast countryside at Fire Ridge. Book a campsite at Evergreen RV Park and be just a short drive from all the action. Visit downtown Berlin or Sugarcreek to look at the handmade Amish furniture and carvings. Or, head over to the Millersburg Brewing Company for a night out to taste their hand-crafted beer and delicious food.
Enjoy the Music
Check out the music festivals going on in Ohio. Rock out at Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival and camp right at the festival. Head to Put-in-Bay for the Bash on the Bay Search the many campgrounds in Sandusky and Port Clinton for a place to stay. Reserve a campsite at Clay's Park Resort for the Country Fest held every summer. Dance, sing and let loose on this weekend getaway.
